Ons Jabeur
Founder
As a pioneering figure in the sport, Ons Jabeur combines her success as the first Arab woman to reach Grand Slam finals with a growing role in mentoring the next generation. Her dynamic all-court game and leadership continue to shape tennis both on and off the court.
Aref Jellali
Academy Director
Aref Jallali is an internationally experienced coach and former Davis Cup player, recognized for developing talent from juniors to Grand Slam champions. He played a pivotal role in the early career of US Open Champion Bianca Andreescu, coached rising WTA star Victoria Mboko, and previously led player development at Tennis Canada’s National Training Centre. Mentored by legendary coach Bob Brett, Aref brings a global perspective and a passion for developing the next generation of athletes.
Karim Kammoun
Fitness Head Coach
Leading the academy’s fitness and performance division, Karim Kammoun is a former professional athlete and highly respected strength and conditioning expert. Karim’s science-driven programs focus on maximizing athletic potential through bespoke training regimes, injury prevention strategies, and holistic recovery techniques.
Issam Jellali

At the heart of the Ons Jabeur Academy’s excellence is Coach Issam Jellali, a world-class tennis strategist and a tour coach with a proven track record of guiding elite athletes on the global stage. Combining technical expertise with tactical mastery, Coach Issam is dedicated to refining players’ strokes, sharpening footwork, and developing match-winning strategies. Under his leadership, athletes benefit from high-performance training programs designed to elevate their game, build consistency, and prepare them to compete – and succeed on the sport’s biggest stages.
Coach Magali
Coach
Coach Magali de Lattre brings elite-level experience and passion to the court. A former professional player with a WTA career-high singles ranking of #334, Magali proudly represented Portugal on the international stage, including multiple Fed Cup appearances. She has competed in over 100 ITF tournaments worldwide and recently coached the Portuguese team to a silver medal at the 2024 ITF World Championships. With a focus on performance, discipline, and mental toughness, she leads our coaching team in developing players to reach their highest potential.
Laith Al Ani
Operational Manager/Tournament Director
Laith Al Ani is one of the most recognized tennis officials in the UAE and GCC, with over 40 years of experience in coaching, officiating, and tournament management. Based in Dubai for more than 23 years, he has been part of the Dubai Duty Free WTA and ATP organizing team since 2004, serving as Assistant Chief of Officials for the past five years.
He works closely with the ITF, WTA, and ATP and directs over 30 local and international tournaments annually. Laith is also an ITF-certified tennis coach and has served as Secretary General of the Iraqi Tennis Federation since 2003.

Coach Malik is genuinely committed to building an energetic, high-performance environment where players can truly level up. As an ITF certified coach and former nationally ranked player who’s competed at ITF Juniors and Futures events. With 6+ years of coaching experience in the UAE, he brings a solid understanding of the regional tennis scene and what it takes to thrive in it.
His coaching approach hits different — blending technical excellence, mental preparation, and real motivation to help players unlock their full potential and clock in measurable results. No cap, he’s built for this.
